The Sitting
What a Session Is Like
You bring a question, or you do not. Either works. We sit down, you cut the deck, and the cards we draw are the cards we work with. I read them out loud as we go, and we talk through what comes up together. It is a conversation, not a performance.
My register is logical and grounded, closer to a strategic advisor than a mystical oracle. If you already know tarot terms, I am more Hermit than High Priestess. Skeptics are welcome and often get the most out of a sitting, because the cards work as a thinking tool whether you treat them as archetypes or as a deck of paper.
Thirty minutes is enough time to work through one real question in depth. Fifteen suits a narrow question or a first try. An hour gives room for two or three questions, or one large one from several angles. You leave with a written synthesis of what we covered.
Before You Arrive
How to Prepare
Bring a question you have been circling, something specific enough to sit with for thirty minutes. A wide-open reading works too, if you would rather see what comes up. There is no wrong way to arrive.
No fasting, no rituals, nothing to memorize. Just show up a few minutes early, find a chair, and be ready to talk. We work with whatever cards come up rather than reshuffling until something feels better, so the most useful thing you can bring is a willingness to sit with what you draw.
The Deck
The Aquarian Tarot
I read mostly from the Aquarian Tarot, a 1970s deco-revival deck whose geometry matches both the way I think and the architecture of this city. I also keep the Radiant Wise Spirit Tarot on hand, which stays closer to the original Rider-Waite-Smith images if that is the visual language you already know.
